Bookfair 10 – 16 March
The Travelling Book Fair is coming into the school for one week from 10 March. They are providing us with a fabulous range of books selected from leading publishers across fiction and non-fiction. Leaflets have been put in the bookbags this week which feature a selection of the books which will be on offer.
The Travelling Book Company will reward us with 60% commission on all our sales so please make a visit and invite family and friends. The fair will be held in the foyer area outside the school office and will be open between 8.30am and 9.00am before school and after school from 3.15pm until 3.45pm for one week from Wednesday 10 March after school until Tuesday 16 March. Each class will be visiting the fair during the week so please provide your child with some spending money between 10 and 16 March if you are happy for them to purchase a book during school time. If you do wish to purchase a book then please note that we can only accept cash or cheques (made payable to the school). World Book Day vouchers can be used towards the cost of any books. Vouchers are being sent home today.
If anyone is available to help with the setting up of the fair/selling books, then please contact the PTFA or leave a message in the school office.
Last year this was a very successful event which everyone enjoyed and resulted in the school being able to purchase many new books with the commission we received.
Parents Evening
Hopefully you will have now received your allocated time for meeting your child’s teacher at next weeks’ parents evening. We look forward to seeing you then.
Caribbean Lunch
Vicky McNally (our cook) will be making a Caribbean lunch on Monday 8 March. The menu will include Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Cajun Vegetarian Sausages, Caribbean Fruitcake and Tropical Smoothies. If your child would like to try this tropical delight, the cost is £1.60. Enjoy!!
Tesco Vouchers
We are collecting the Tesco vouchers again for ICT equipment. Vouchers will be available in stores until Sunday 9 May. There is a box in the entrance foyer.
Cuddly Cat
A small well loved, black & white cuddly toy cat was found in the school yesterday. It is waiting to be reclaimed in the foyer!
