SUMMARY OF EVENTS

The School Quiz
A great evening’s entertainment, even if some of the questions were a bit tricky!  Many thanks to John Skidmore who hosted the quiz for us.  As always the bar and nachos were another success and we managed to raise just over £250 so well done to everyone who came along on the evening and of course a big thank you to those who helped behind the bar.

Funmats
This was a lovely exercise for the children to become involved in and the completed coasters and other items looked very professional.  The event raised in excess of £170.

Invitation Books
Thank you to all parents and family members who purchased this book.  We have managed to raise an additional £400 towards our fundraising efforts by selling these books and of course by using the vouchers in the book it is possible to make savings of more than the £20 purchase price so everyone is a winner!

The Treasure Hunt & BBQ is held to welcome everyone to the new school year.  Many families disappeared into Emersons Green in search of the answers to our family quiz kindly written this year by Mike Beard and they returned to enjoy a BBQ.  The event raised in excess of £200.

Ladies Night was extremely well attended once again and raised over £800.  This is a fantastic evening including treatments and stalls with something for every lady.

Carols by Candlelight included the Christmas Draw this year.  As every year, the children stole the show by singing beautifully on the stage.  The Christmas Draw included a top prize of an M&S Hamper and many other prizes kindly donated by parents.  Both these events raised around £400.

School Calendars:  Rachel Trueman has done a fantastic job of putting together and coordinating the school calendar this year.  We sold over 50 calendars and we would welcome volunteers to help create and organise a calendar for next year.

Regular Events
We organise various social events throughout the year:-

• Every Thursday morning we hold a coffee morning at the school, everyone is welcome and toys are proved for the younger siblings.
• Sept School treasure hunt, welcome to a new academic year.
• Oct/Nov, Ladies night
• Nov/Dec, Various Christmas activities, Carols by candlelight, Christmas entertainment for the children.
• Feb/March ,Quiz night, Race Night
• May Shopping trip
• June Mangotsfield Festival
• July, Summer evening BBQ with Children’s entertainment.
